Use:
1-Azido-2-bromobenzene is widely used in azide reaction and coupling reaction in organic synthesis. It can be used as the source of the electrophilic azide group to participate in a variety of chemical reactions, such as azidation reaction of alkynes, selective amination reaction and coupling reaction of aromatic compounds.
Preparation Method:
1-Azido-2-bromobenzene is typically prepared by reacting bromobenzene with sodium azide. First, bromobenzene and sodium azide are dissolved in aqueous ammonia in an anhydrous environment to react to form an azide. Then, dichloromethane was added to the reaction mixture, which was purified by extraction and washing to give 1-Azido-2-bromobenzene.
Safety Information:
1-Azido-2-bromobenzene requires the following safety precautions during operation and storage:
-The compound has high toxicity and irritation, and should be operated under well-ventilated laboratory conditions.
-Appropriate personal protective equipment such as goggles, gloves and lab coats must be worn.
-Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes. If there is contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical help.
